The Cody Police Department is investigating multiple auto burglaries that took place early Sunday morning.
Police say that, shortly before 4 a.m., three individuals were caught on camera trying to get into a pair of vehicles parked in a driveway on Kent Avenue.
“The suspects were alerted to the camera’s presence and then fled west on foot,” police said.
In that case, the suspects were unable to get into the vehicles, but a couple doors down, a citizen awoke Sunday to find that someone had broken into his car; some $120 in cash and a Leatherman multi-tool were stolen, police logs say.
Another citizen, located a couple blocks away on Ishawooa Trail Avenue, reported Sunday afternoon that someone had gotten into his truck, too, though nothing was taken in that instance.
Cody police posted surveillance camera images of the suspects on its Facebook page, asking the public for help in identifying the individuals.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the department by calling 307-527-8700 or anonymously reporting a tip online by visiting www.bit.ly/3zjGKn8.
