CHICAGO, Illinois – Machine Gun Kelly wasn’t scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza this past weekend. But he wound up being one of the Chicago festival’s standout performers.
The Cleveland musician took the stage Saturday for a surprise set at Lollapalooza’s “Bud Light Seltzer Sessions” venue. The side stage was meant to host intimate shows. However, MGK drew a crowd “20 times” bigger than the stage was meant for, according to Billboard.
Machine Gun Kelly’s 10-song set included popular tracks like “My Ex’s Best Friend,” “Bloody Valentine” and “Drunk Face” from his No. 1 album “Tickets to My Downfall.” The rapper-turned-rocker also performed a cover of Paramore’s “Misery Business.”
As is usually the case these days, MGK’s girlfriend Megan Fox was spotted in the VIP section at the festival. And in typical Kellz fashion, the music star also walked among the crowd and climbed the scaffolding to fans’ delight.
