The big three show their support to the Detroit Auto Show by bringing six new models for their debut this September
13 hours ago
Mark your calendars for September 13 and 14 because the big three Stellantis, Ford, and General Motors will unveil a total of six new models during the Detroit Auto Show. The releases are sure to create some additional buzz surrounding an event that has needed a shot in the arm.
Generally speaking, auto shows aren’t all that they used to be pre-2020. Attendance is down and some auto shows don’t even exist anymore due to the lack of interest. For the big three, showing up to their ‘home’ auto show and introducing big new products proved to be too important to resist.
“We are thrilled by the tremendous support of our hometown Detroit Three in bringing these exciting reveals and their products and vehicle activations to the show,” said Detroit Auto Show Chairman Thad Szott. “We expect the momentum created by these unveilings to generate outstanding media and consumer attendance and interest.”

According to officials with Stellantis and Ford, the automakers will go to long lengths to make this Detroit Auto Show a special one. Stellantis is bringing back test tracks as well as a number of Jeep and Ram vehicles in an effort to draw customers. Though it hasn’t said which vehicles will debut, it sounds like it’ll be a fun time regardless.
Rick Deneau, head of product and brand communications, at Stellantis in NA, said, “It’s the Detroit show, which makes it especially exciting to offer consumers the opportunity to go for a ride in our Jeep and Ram vehicles on our specialized test tracks, as well as check out all the latest offerings from the rest of our North American brands. We also greatly look forward to showcasing new Ram and Jeep vehicles there for the first time, here in our hometown.”
Last year, Ford debuted its 2024 Mustang to critical acclaim. This year it’ll release at least one new vehicle and bring most of its lineup to the show.
“The Detroit Auto Show is a longstanding tradition that brings the community, consumers, car enthusiasts and our employees together,” said Mark Truby, Ford chief communications officer. “We’re excited to return this September and look forward to making a splash with some of our most iconic and important new vehicles.”
The new models will be unveiled on September 13 and 14 during media-only days but the show itself will then continue, open to the public, from September 16 through 24.
