Oxford’s Bridgewater Interiors is beginning a $10 million expansion that is expected to create 35 jobs.
The auto supplier manufactures the seat systems for the Honda Pilot and Honda Passport, which are produced in Lincoln. Bridgewater Interiors opened in 2003 and currently employs more than 350 people.
The project includes investment in machinery and equipment, and building expansion to add warehousing space.
John R. Cloud, CFO for Bridgewater Interiors, said the project could not have happened without support from the Calhoun County Economic Development Council.
Oxford Mayor Alton Craft said the expansion brings the city “great joy.”
“In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the industry in Oxford is continuing to grow and give families opportunities for a financial breakthrough, and that is celebrated by all of us,” Craft said.
