A bright yellow Med City auto repair center recently sold for $1.65 million.
The 25-year-old building at 424 37th St NE that houses Car-X Tire and Auto was purchased on Oct. 21 by Rochester-based Pelican Capital Management and Acquisitions LLC. It’s located next to Abra Auto Body Repair.
Pelican Capital lists its manager as Kari McKenzie. McKenzie is also the founder of Rochester’s Bounce World, which is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Totim Properties LLP, of Golden Valley, Minn., sold the Car-X property. Totim built the 4,235-square-foot center in 1995 for Car-X.
Car-X reportedly has about six years remaining on its lease, according to a real estate listing for the property. It also has a second, vacant tenant space.
Olmsted County estimated the total market value of the property at $606,700 for 2020-2021.
