Firefighters Battle Massive Auto Auction Building Fire in NJ
The 4-alarm fire started Tuesday night at the Auto Auction building on the 6600 block of South Crescent Boulevard, it continued to cause traffic troubles Wednesday morning
Firefighters battled a massive fire at a building in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey, pouring water onto the charred building for hours.
The four-alarm fire started Tuesday night at the U.S. Auto Auction building on the 6600 block of South Crescent Boulevard and caused the roof to collapse. No injuries were reported however.
Small explosions could be heard coming from inside the building as flames shot into the sky.
The blaze was fueled by the number of vehicles inside the structure along with gasoline and tires, Fire Chief Joseph Palumbo said.

"I work right near here... being in the car business, anything like that that... there is a lot of rubber to burn," Ray Snapp said.
Firefighters continued to douse hot spots for hours into Wednesday morning. The building houses at least four businesses that were seriously damaged.
Crescent Boulevard (U.S. Route 130) was closed in both directions near the scene of the fire. The southbound lanes of 130 remained closed Wednesday morning.
Officials investigated the cause.
