CLEVELAND, Ohio – Rock and soul duo Black Pumas and Cleveland’s Machine Gun Kelly will perform during the final two days of the NFL Draft, the league announced today.
The Black Pumas are set to play Friday, April 30, the second night of the three-day draft. MGK will perform Saturday, May 1. The draft will be staged at North Coast Harbor.
The league previously announced Kings of Leon will perform on the Draft’s opening night, Thursday, April 29, and The Sunrise Jones will be the house band for the first two nights, performing between team selections.
The Texas-based Black Pumas’ self-titled debut album was nominated as Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Machine Gun Kelly, who graduated from Shaker Heights High School, is scheduled to perform after the final pick – known as Mr. Irrelevant - is made.
Both performances will be streamed via NFL.com, in the NFL app and live on the NFL’s Facebook page each night with portions televised across the NFL Network, ESPN and ABC’s Draft coverage.
The Draft concert series schedule (times are approximate)
Thursday, April 29: Kings of Leon (pre-Draft, 7:40 p.m.)
Friday, April 30: Black Pumas (end of Round 3, 11 p.m.)
Saturday, May 1: Machine Gun Kelly (end of Round 7, 6:30 p.m.)
The NFL Draft will take place at FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Great Lakes Science Center. The NFL Draft Experience – an interactive football theme park with activities, a bar, photo opportunities, giveaways and more - is free, but time-slot reservations are required via the NFL OnePass app.
The Draft Theater will not be visible from the Draft Experience, but screens will be set up for folks to watch. In the first round, teams have as many as 10 minutes to make their selection. The Cleveland Browns have the No. 26 pick in the first round.
