Coroner's office identifies man killed in auto-pedestrian crash on Rivers Avenue - Live 5 News WCSC

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities have released the name of a pedestrian who was killed in an accident on Rivers Avenue.

Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said 55-year-old Steven Alston from North Charleston died from injuries he suffered on Aug. 31 at 5:34 a.m.

Officials with the North Charleston Police Department said Alston was struck by an automobile at the intersection of Rivers Avenue and Melbourne Avenue.

Update: The pedestrian in the accident on Rivers Ave. at Melbourne has died. Rivers Ave. is now open to traffic. #chstrfc #chsnews
