MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- A Macon teen is in jail after attempting to rob a man at the Lo Lo Foods on Pio Nono Avenue, according to deputies.
In a report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, a 66-year-old man came out of the store on the morning of February 5th and saw someone inside his pickup truck and going through it. The victim said "get the hell out of my car," and asked him what he was doing, the report says. That's when the suspect, now identified as 17-year-old Yisrael Mitchell, was said to have asked the victim where the money was and started checking his pockets. After a brief tussle, the report states that Mitchell ran to a Black Honda CRV and drove away.
Mitchell was later arrested and a semi-automatic handgun was reported to have been recovered, as well as the Honda CRV, which had reportedly been stolen.
