MUNCIE, Ind. (WANE) — An Indiana woman was arrested early Sunday morning for auto theft after officers from the Muncie Police Department located her driving a stolen vehicle near Madison Avenue and Main Street in Muncie, IN, according to an Indiana State Police press release.
Erika L. Shukla, 28, of Muncie was arrested and charged with auto theft and a warrant for arrest for felony burglary, misdemeanor invasion of privacy and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Upon the arrest and investigation, officers discovered she had an active felony warrant for burglary from Delaware County.
Shukla was driving a black Toyota Camry, originally reported stolen on Tuesday, and was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Sunday.
Shukla was transported to the Delaware County jail.
