Sausalito police arrested a burglary suspect after stopping him in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
The 2006 Chevrolet Silverado entered the city on Alexander Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Friday, said police Capt. Bill Fraass. A city road camera that scans license plates alerted police that the vehicle had been reported stolen the previous day in San Francisco.
Police stopped the Silverado on South Street, detained the driver and found suspected burglary tools in the vehicle.
Omar Ulla, 28, of San Francisco was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of burglary tools. He was also booked on outstanding warrants for similar allegations.
Ulla remained in custody Sunday evening.
