Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through December 7.

Aggravated Battery

5901 Pine Island Road – Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

On December 2, the victim stated that he was attacked by the offender while working at the school and that he and the offender work for AGC Electric. The victim stated that he and the offender were arguing, and the offender picked up a metal pipe and struck him with it in the back/side area. The supervisor and other employees broke up the fight, and both workers were sent home.

Auto Theft – Other

7300 block of 61 Terrace – Parkland Terraces

On December 1, the victim reported that between 7:00 p.m. and 10:43 a.m., a Honda CRV was taken from the home’s driveway. The keys were left inside the vehicle, and there were no suspects.

6800 block of NW 116 Ave – Heron Bay

On December 2, the victim alleged that an unknown person entered his Mercedes C300 overnight, which was unlocked and contained the key. The vehicle was taken and struck two other vehicles in the parking lot when leaving.

11300 block of NW 77 Place – Heron Bay

On December 2, the victim alleged that an unknown person entered his Chevrolet Silverado overnight, which was unlocked and contained the key. The vehicle was taken from the driveway.

Burglary Conveyance

5800 block of NW 83 Terrace – Tall Pines

On December 1, the victim advised that on November 30,  around 8:00 p.m., he parked his GMC Yukon in his driveway, and at 8:30 a.m. on December 1, he discovered that both front doors were open and the vehicle had been rummaged through. Nothing was taken, and there was no forced entry.

7800 block of NW 113 Way – Heron Bay

On December 2, the victim alleged that an unknown person entered his Honda Accord overnight and took a backpack containing a laptop. The vehicle was unlocked.

6800 block of NW 117 Ave – Heron Bay

On December 2, the victim advised that an unknown person entered into the two unlocked vehicles parked in the home’s driveway. The suspect(s) stole cash from the center consoles of the vehicles. A loss of $74 was reported.

11300 block of NW 77 Place – Heron Bay

On December 3, the victim advised that between 8:30 p.m. on December 1 and 8:30 a.m. on December 2, an unknown person(s) entered his Lexus and Infiniti. The driver side doors to both vehicles were partially open, and the glove compartments were rummaged through. Three to four dollars in change was taken from the Lexus, and nothing was taken from the Infiniti. The victim has a camera overlooking his driveway, but he stated that it only records in daylight. The victim stated that both vehicles were locked the night before.

Burglary Residence

10800 block of Shore Street – Cascata

On November 30, the victim advised that between 10:30 p.m. and 10:40 p.m., two unknown suspects unsuccessfully attempted to force entry into their residence.

8700 block of NW 58th Court – Tall Pines

On December 1, the victim reported that between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., unknown suspects entered three vehicles at the residence. They also entered the garage by using the garage door clicker from one of the vehicles. Items taken were a briefcase, perfume, garage door opener, Rolex watch, and a key fob to another vehicle not on the premises.

Suspicious Person

7100 block of Nob Hill Road

On December 5, subjects were stopped for bicycle infractions. A not in custody probable cause affidavit was submitted against the juvenile about providing the officer with a false name.
