Fire crews were called Thursday morning to 22 Mill St. in Darby for a garage fire.
The dispatch went out shortly after 6 a.m. with two people reporting the fire, including a call from a passerby reporting flames coming out of a garage.
The Darby Fire Company lieutenant arrived and reported that two vehicles were on fire in front of an auto body shop, according to fire radio traffic.
A few hours later, the fire company later posted this to social medial:
“Company 4 just cleared from a commercial building fire on the unit block of Mill Street. Engine 4 arrived as the first due engine to find 2 vehicles on fire with extension into a 1-story commercial building. Engine 4 had its own water supply, and placed one handline in service. The fire was placed under control at the 30-minute mark. Lieutenant 4 held the Darby command.”
Further details were not yet available.
