Stouffer’s is asking the public where they would like to see one of these magic mac n’ cheese machines.
Stouffer’s is celebrating a big birthday for one of its signature frozen dishes. It has been 60 years since the classic macaroni and cheese dish was added to the company’s lineup of frozen foods. The company put out a picture of a prototype of a machine designed to dispense hot macaroni and cheese on demand. The “Mac on Tap” machine is coming soon—but we don't yet know where.

Food bloggers were the first to notice the cheesy dispenser and volunteered to test drive it for Stouffer’s. The company has also exchanged some cheerful banter with fans about the machine on social media. Stouffer’s was quick to note that they are still working on the prototype and do not have a launch date. They are asking fans to chime in and tell them where they should install the finished product. After the company filters through the suggestions, they will tell the public where and when they can find the nearest Mac on Tap.

Stouffer’s began as a roadside restaurant in Ohio that served dairy products, sandwiches, and apple pie. In 1946, the company entered the frozen food business, which was eventually sold to Nestle in 1993. It is one of the few companies in the frozen food industry that offers single- and family-sized entrees.
Stouffer’s macaroni and cheese comes in single-serve cups and individual dinners, as well as a side item in several of Stouffer’s microwave meals.
