A pair of fellow Grand Rapids drivers, Ken Hron and K.C. Hawkinson, finished second and third, respectively.

Schultz, who earned his first Sprint Car victory at the speedway, also won his heat. He was one of three drivers to earn clean sweeps on the night, joining Shane Howell (Midwest Modifieds) and DeJay Jarecki (Hornets), while Dylan Shelton denied Cory Jorgensen the sweep by winning the Pure Stock feature on a warm and muggy night in Superior.
