This is the new Li Auto Mega, a minivan unveiled by one of the largest EV makers from China.
This thing is, there’s nothing ‘mini’ about this van, and it actually sets a new world record for EVs.

Less than a week ago, the Mega van made headlines for its amazing fast-charging capabilities.
According to Li Auto, the vehicle can give you up to 310 miles of range – 500 km – in just 10 minutes.
That’s very nearly as quick as filling up the tank of a truck with gas.
And Li didn’t just ‘say’ this is what the Li Auto Mega is capable of, but they also shared a clip to prove it.
In the clip, the ‘Mega’ van (what a name) goes from 10 percent to 80 percent (of a full charge) in 10 minutes and 36 seconds.
There is more good news, by the way.
Because it means that 310 miles is just a fraction of the available range.
With a full tank, the Mega will be able to cover up to 410 miles – or 660 km.
Charging isn’t the only thing the Mega can do quickly as its acceleration figures are quite impressive, too.
Thanks to its electric powertrain, it does 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.5 seconds.
The Mega also set a new world record for EVs.
At at 5,350 mm – or 210.6 inches – this is “the largest mass produced passenger electric vehicle,” according to Li Auto.
Presumably, Li Auto is not including the slightly longer (214.7 inches) Rolls-Royce Spectre, because the company doesn’t think that counts as ‘mass-produced’.
When it comes to the EV market, Chinese automakers are the only ones that can keep up with Tesla.
In fact, last year, they did more than just ‘keep up’ with Elon Musk’s brand.
Despite producing the Model Y, which as Musk predicted was the best-selling car in the world last year, Tesla still lost its dominance in the electric vehicle market to BYD.
