LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln Fire and Rescue is telling everyone to stay away from an auto shop that caught fire late Sunday night.
More than a dozen units were called to Komi Auto Sales near Y and North 22nd Streets around 10:30 p.m.
Crews saw heavy smoke and flames spreading across a side of the building when they arrived.
Firefighters finally extinguished the blaze about an hour and a half later, but they’re still monitoring the property.
LFR says there may be hotspots that could have been missed due to construction issues.
We’re also told that anyone out walking Monday morning should avoid the area as the shop is at risk of collapsing.
Right now there is no word on how much it will cost to fix or replace everything that was damaged.
Authorities are waiting until the sun is up to make an assessment.
No one was injured in all of this.
