FENTON, MI - Fenton Winery & Brewery is still adding new cool features after 15 years in business.
Owners Ginny and Matt Sherrow recently announced the grand opening of “Dream Machine Distillery,” a taproom that features a new, small batch distillery and a breathtaking new cocktail bar serving innovative cocktails.
Dream Machine represents both the artistic and scientific approach used to create spirits and deliver experiences, according to Ginny Sherrow.
“A couple years ago, we decided that we needed to add a distillery so that we would have all of the craft products available to our guests,” she told MLive-The Flint Journal.
“The Dream Machine Distillery” took two years to building and has a special meaning behind it.
“We wanted the distillery to have its own unique brand,” Sherrow said. “What better way to describe what we do here other than dreaming big. And our team is the machine that makes those dreams come true.”
The distillery features a unique cocktail bar inside the tap room with an outdoor-indoor theme and a huge pergola that was custom built.

Their base spirit line-up of vodkas, gins, rums, and agave spirit feature a hot air balloon on the label, representing the simplest machine and the simplest spirits. Their award-winning signature gin is named after the first bicycle, the Swiftwalker.
Barrel-aged spirits adorn a label with an airplane representing an advancement in recipe complexity.
“We have 20 barrels that we have invested in,” Sherrow said.
Fenton Winery & Brewery has a large banquet venue where it hosts about 100 weddings a year, holds up to 280 people, and it also takes part in an adoptive pet fundraiser every year.
After a 15-year run and counting, the Fenton community has shown its love.
Sherrow has a hunch why that is.
“Our mission is to be part of your story,” she said. “And we get to be part of our team member’s stories too. We really have a work family here.”
Fenton Winery & Brewery, located at 1370 N. Long Lake Road, is open Tuesday-Thursday, 3 p.m.-10 p.m., Friday-Saturday noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
