MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - Troopers say one person is dead after an auto-pedestrian collision that took place Saturday night.
According to Master Trooper William Bennett, the crash happened on US Highway 52 in Moncks Corner at 9:50 p.m.
A 2007 Lexus sedan was driving west on the highway Saturday night near Rembert Dennis Boulevard when the pedestrian attempted to cross the road.
The driver of the sedan was the sole occupant and was not injured.
The pedestrian died at the scene.
The Charleston County Coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the victim.
The crash remains under investigation by SCHP.
