The 34-year-old driver of the car was killed and the 26-year-old passenger is in stable condition and was taken into custody, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
SPD was called to the 9200 block of MLK Jr. Way South just before 9:30 p.m. to investigate a hit-and-run collision. The driver hit two other cars at a stop light at that intersection, then backed into auto-parts store and burst into flames.
Seattle Fire personnel were able to get the fire under control. No one else besides the driver was hurt.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
