Canandaigua, N.Y. — An auto worker died during a roadside incident Monday evening, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Around 5 p.m., deputies responded to State Route 21 at Hickox Road in Canandaigua for a report of a man trapped under a motor home.
Once there, they found Jarod Brown, 38, of Dundee, who was attempting to change a tire on the side of the road when the motor home fell off its jack, trapping him underneath the vehicle. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Route 21 near Hickcox Road was shut down for roughly four hours while deputies investigated but has since reopened.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
